Oatmeal is one of the most popular cookies in America. There are even two holidays for them – National Lacy Oatmeal Cookie Day (March 18th) and National Oatmeal Cookie Day (April 30th). The Lacy oatmeal cookie is delicious and just as it sound-a thin lace-like version of regular oatmeal cookies.

The Oatmeal Cookie shot is just a mix and a shake away but it is popular with a distinct flavor without going over the top.

Generally, Oatmeal is rather tame with Irish cream and butterscotch making up the majority of the drink. You also may notice that the flavor only pops and begins to taste like the cookie once the cinnamon schnapps or Jagermeister added.

If you want more Oatmeal Cookie shot recipes, here are two more recipes that you can try. Get mixing, shaking and enjoy!

An Oatmeal Cookie Shot with a Hint of Orange

Unlike the classic Oatmeal Cookie shot, in this recipe, we will use an orange liqueur instead of the Cinnamom Schnapps.

Ingredients:

1/3 Ounces Bailey’s Irish cream liqueur
1/3 Ounces butterscotch schnapps
1/3 Ounces Orange liqueur
1/3 Ounces Jagermeister

Oatmeal-Raisin Cookie Shot

Like the classic Oatmeal Cookie shot, this recipe has a creamy base of Baileys with spicy accents of Jagermeister.

Ingredients:

1/3 Ounces Bailey’s Irish cream liqueur
1/3 Ounces Goldschlager Cinnamom Schnapps
1/3 Ounces Kahlua Coffee Liqueur
1/3 Ounces Jagermeister Herbal Liqueur
1/ 3 Ounces Rum

In this recipe, a 151-proof rum is used but any rum will do just fine.

To make this drink, put all the ingredients into the shaker and give it a few shakes.

Pouring this Oatmeal Cookie shot is a bit tricky because you want to fit an equal pour of five distilled spirits into a 2-ounces shot glass.

You can fix this problem by making two shots at a time. If you were to pour 1/3 ounce of each ingredient, this would create about 13/6 ounces after shaking. Divide that into two tall shot glasses. Another way is straining the shot into a small tumbler. You can still make more than one drink at one time.

How strong is the Oatmeal-Raisin Cookie Shot?

Let’s say that we use Kahlua and an 80-proof rum in this Oatmeal-Raisin Cookie Shot. The alcohol content of each shot would look like this:

Classic Oatmeal Cookie Shot: 16 % ABV (32 proof)
Oatmeal-Raisin Cookie Shot: 13% ABV (26 proof)

As you can see, the rum make a significant difference in this recipe. So if you’re looking for the boozy shot, this recipe is a good choice.
